Jennifer attended UNC Greensboro where she received her undergraduate Bachelors of Science Degree in Exercise and Sport Science in 1998. Jennifer went on to earn her Masters of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in August of 2000. Additional clinical specialties and training certifications Jennifer holds include treatment of patients who suffer from vestibular balance disorders (vertigo/dizziness) and is certified in lymphedema therapy.
Jennifer has worked in various physical therapy settings including outpatient orthopaedics, acute care, pediatrics,skilled nursing, and assisted living. While at UNCG, she played Division 1 basketball for the Spartans all four years going 21-8. Jennifer and her teammates hard work and perseverance helped guide her team to the, Big Dance, NCAA tournament in 1998. After winning the Southern Conference Tournament the team’s ideas of big wins were cut short by number two ranked University of Alabama.
On a personal note, Jennifer was raised down on the Crystal Coast of NC in a small town called Newport near Morehead City. She and her husband Steve have been married since 2001 and they have two children. Jennifer and her family are involved and attend Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church. Jennifer enjoys boating, camping, anything outside, and trips to the coast to visit family while sitting on the beach with her feet in the sand. Oh, and much to Andy’s aggravation, she is an avid Duke basketball fan!!
