Alfonso Scandrett, PT, DPT
Alfonso earned his Bachelors in Biology/Pre-medicine from Gannon University in Erie, PA in 2010. He then went on to earn his Masters in Anatomy from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH in 2012. Here, he tutored medical students and assisted professors in the Wexner Medical School of Medicine during Anatomy studies. Following this, Alfonso went on to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy from top ranked Washington University in St. Louis. Here, he served as anatomy tutor and Open lab assistant for other doctoral candidates.
A national traveler, Alfonso has recently returned home to Greensboro. He has been to every state in the U.S. except for Alaska (which he hopes to visit soon). After graduating from Northwest High School high school, he played collegiate basketball at Division I, Radford University and later Division II, Gannon University. At Gannon, Alfonso’s team amassed a 30-4 record, was ranked 4th in the nation, and was an Elite 8 finalist in the NCAA tournament.
After completing his schooling, Alfonso practiced physical therapy in Arizona, Texas, and North Carolina. He has had the opportunity to be in a variety of settings and demographics with experience managing a multitude of patient cases. Alfonso utilizes a function and client focused approach in his practice in order to help individuals realize their physical therapy goals.
While Alfonso has retired from basketball, he still enjoys staying competitive athletically. In his spare time, Alfonso enjoys wood working, outdoor sports, spending time with his family and playing with his two dogs Remy and Nova.
