Physical therapy is beneficial for anyone recovering from an injury or surgery, experiencing pain, poor balance, or preventing physical activity/sports injuries. Physical Therapists are experts in movement and the musculoskeletal system and will work with you to customize a plan of care specific to your goals.
North Carolina has direct access for Physical Therapy. So, in most cases you can come directly to a physical therapist. There are some exceptions that require a physician prescription such as Medicare, Veteran’s Affairs, or Medicaid. Seeing a Physical Therapist is not only safe, but it potentially can save you time and money. Your physical therapist will do a thorough exam at your appointment and if it is determined you do need to see a physician, we will refer to one of the area’s leading physicians for your problem.
YES! You get to CHOOSE where you go to physical therapy. You can choose a clinic closer to your home or with a therapy group of your preference.
Each appointment will last approximately 1 hour. If it is your first appointment, please arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork, or you can download the intake forms from our website.
During your first visit, your physical therapist will take a thorough medical history, evaluate your symptoms, measure your motion, strength and determine any limitations that would be related to your problem. Based on that examination, they will customize a plan of care to address your problem. Treatment will begin the same day and you will be guided through an initial home exercises program.
